Sam's recent performances include the Pennsylvania Ballet, Opera Company of Philadelphia, and Dave Brubeck. Sam also plays with the Settlement Music School Faculty Percussion Quartet and his Jazz Trio.

Sam has toured and recorded with the Houston Symphony Orchestra, Ballet, and Pops. He has played with the Honolulu, Greenwich, and Stamford Symphonies and has performed at Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, and one of the Presidential Inaugural Balls. Sam has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Miami and a Master’s Degree from the Juilliard School, both in music performance.

Sam has performed percussion in the back up orchestras with
Dave Brubeck, Count Basie, Lionel Hampton, Lena Horne, Perry Como, Bing Crosby, Charo, Joey Heatherton, Robert Goulet, Engelbert Humperdinck, Dom DeLuise, Barbara Eden, Steve Allen, Marilyn Horne,  and Al Martino.

Sam has done studio work for film and television and his travels in music have taken him across the U.S., Mexico, Canada, as well as Alaska and Hawaii.  He has also appeared on nationally televised performances, including "Live from Lincoln Center". 

Sam is on faculty at Rutgers University Camden, and teaches at the Settlement Music School in Philadelphia, as well as at his home studio. Sam also has an endorsement with Sabian Cymbals, Vic Firth Sticks, Remo Drum Heads, and
Noble & Cooley Drums.
